The Foot Spot Promise
Location
The Foot Spot is conveniently located at 76–78 St Pauls Street in Randwick, at “The Spot”. Our clinic is a purpose-built facility designed from the ground up with patient comfort and convenience in mind, delivering high-quality podiatric care in a modern, welcoming environment.
We operate using fully computerised systems and are proud to run a paperless practice, supporting environmentally responsible care. The Foot Spot also features a dedicated sterilisation area equipped with an autoclave and operates in full compliance with sterilisation standards set by the Australasian Podiatry Council and NSW Health.
Parking
There is plenty of off street parking right outside and close to the practice. A parking station is located 2 minutes walk away next to the Ritz Cinema for parking at those times when it may be busy.
Opening Hours
Monday – Friday: 9am – 5pm - CONSULTATION IS STRICTLY BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Saturday and Sunday: CLOSED
Consultation Types
Initial Consultation: Lasting up to 60 minutes in duration (if required) this is usually your first appointment with us, and as such requires some history taking, note writing and education about your presenting problem. We will endeavour to address your presenting complaint at this appointment.
Subsequent Consultation: Lasting up to 45 minutes in duration (if required) this is usually any consultation after your initial.
Surgical Procedures: These consultation can vary in length, depending on what is required - Please speak to your Podiatrist about the time required.
Orthotic Fit: Can take anywhere from 15 mins up until 30 mins depending on the complexity of the issue.
Medicare Plus: The old term for this was the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan. It is now called the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan. This is a government initiative for patients who have a chronic illness or disease, to receive Podiatry services. It allocates the patient approximately $250 per calendar year which they can claim upon consultation based services rendered at their Podiatrist. At the Foot Spot patients are responsible for claiming their own rebate - all fees must be paid at the time of appointment. We DO NOT claim this rebate for patients. We DO NOT BULK BILL. Department of Veterans Affairs: Department of Veterans Affairs patients are welcome at The Foot Spot. A WRITTEN REFERRAL IS REQUIRED once yearly from your GP. Our friendly admin staff will process all your paperwork upon your initial visit making it easy and convenient.
Cancellations
Cancellation Fee: We understand that unplanned issues as well as acute sickness can arise, and you may need to cancel an appointment. Should this occur, we respectfully ask that scheduled appointments be cancelled at least 24 hours in advanced. If less than 24hrs notice is given, and your appointment is NOT rescheduled then a cancellation fee of the full cost of your appointment will be billed. No health fund or Medicare rebate can be claimed on this fee. The Podiatrists at The Foot Spot want to be available for your needs and the needs of other patients. When a patient does not arrive for a scheduled appointment, other patients miss that opportunity to be seen.
It is crucial that you notify us of your cancellation, at least 24 hrs prior to your appointment time, to avoid the cancellation fee.
